I offer both virtual and in person classes in different modalities of yoga. My teaching style is meant for everybody and is always evolving. It is essential to me in this life to create balance, structure, and ease, and to teach others the tools who want to create the same for themselves.
My classes emphasize using more than just the physical practice to connect with oneself. I believe that journaling, meditation, breath-work and movement are each equally important and vital to a holistic yoga practice. I prioritize accessibility, simplicity, and mindfulness in each style of class that I offer.
I have a deep commitment to learning and education. I have over 500 hours of training in yoga covering subjects ranging from anatomy, the subtle body, yin, intelligent sequencing, and trauma informed yoga and mindfulness.
I have completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction(MBSR) Foundations course through Brown University, a 75 hour teacher training studying the intersection of social justice & yoga taught by Michelle C. Johnson, as well as a 70 hour training in Mobility & Sequencing led by Matt Phippen & Kate Gillepsie of Movement Method, Co.
I have been practicing for 16 years and teaching for the last 9 years. I have been a Nike Global yoga instructor for the last 3 years and have a handful of classes on the Nike Training Club app as well as on Netflix. I take pride in being of Nicaraguan heritage and believe that representation in the yoga and wellness industry is vital for our future and for our collective well-being.
